Underwater lighting fixtures are commonly used equipment in waterscapes, especially in fountains. There are some plastic underwater lights, which have more problems. If the structural strength is poor, it is very easy to be damaged when the water in the fountain pool fluctuates strongly or is affected by other external forces, the reliability of the sealing design of the lamps is poor, and the plastics age rapidly under sunlight. Once the lamp is damaged or the seal fails, electricity leakage will make the water body electrified, which becomes the biggest hidden danger of waterscape safety.Therefore, waterscape lighting and electrical design are particularly important.

In water features without isolation, easy access or strong participation, 12 volts of safe voltage must be used in accordance with the swimming pool electrical design specifications. The lamp body should be completely shielded in the high-strength lamp shell, the lamp shell should be connected to the pool reliably, and the installation position of the lamp should also consider the use of pipe nozzles and other objects to protect it. If the transmission distance is long, the method of increasing the output voltage should be taken to compensate for the voltage drop loss of the cable. Insulation should be ensured between the high and low voltage windings of the transformer, it is best to separate the primary and secondary, and the transformer core should also be grounded. When the installation power of the lamps is very large, consider setting up a transformer near the water feature. When high-voltage lamps such as metal halide lamps must be used due to special needs, isolation transformers must also be used, and leakage protection switches must be used in any case to ensure personal safety.
