LED driver IC principle

The LED driver chip contains a constant current circuit, which can set the output constant current value through an external resistor. The general principle of the LED driver IC is to control the switching time of the output channel through the enable terminal of the chip, and the switching frequency is up to 1 MHz. The current output is extremely fast and supports applications with high color gamut changes and high picture refresh rates. Built-in open-circuit detection, overheating, and over-current protection functions greatly increase the reliability of the application system.

At present, LED driver chips are developing in the direction of low cost, high performance, and small size. Although LED driver IC technology is quite mature, its development space is still large.
