On the one hand, the rated working voltage of the pool lamp is the parameter index of the lamp, which directly determines the use environment of the underwater pool light, that is, the actual working voltage must be consistent with the rated working voltage. Otherwise, either the light source will be burned out due to the high voltage, or the lighting effect will not be achieved due to the low voltage. Therefore, general underwater lights need to be equipped with transformers to be used together. The transformer provides a stable voltage, and the swimming pool underwater lights can work safely and stably. On the other hand, swimming pool lights require a relatively low voltage and cannot use the mains voltage that is used daily, so a transformer is necessary. Because the swimming pool is usually outdoors, the transformer also needs to be waterproof!
As for the specific protection level, it depends on the installation conditions of the transformer. If it is installed in a distribution box, the distribution box must meet the outdoor waterproof requirements. If the electrical appliance is independently installed outdoors, the protection level of the electrical appliance must meet the outdoor use standard, at least IP65. Outdoor waterproof transformer: a fully waterproof transformer filled with glue, which can be buried and hidden in the green belt outside the pool.
