LED wall washer light, see the literal meaning, let the light wash the wall like water, mainly used for architectural decorative lighting, but also used to generalize large and medium-sized buildings. Because LED has the characteristics of energy saving, high luminous efficiency, rich color and long service life, wall washers of other light sources are gradually replaced by LED wall washers. So, what tests do manufacturers need to do when producing wall washers?
1. Temperature rise test
The temperature rise test is a necessary item for the product quality test, and the standard has certain temperature rise constraints for different components. In the process of product design, manufacturers should attach great importance to the heat dissipation of products, and should consider spare parts (such as insulating sheets, etc.).
If the parts work in a high temperature environment for a long time, it is easy to be damaged, and then lead to fire or electric shock. The power module inside the luminaire is located in a confined space with limited heat dissipation. Therefore, when selecting components, manufacturers should pay attention to selecting appropriate component specifications to ensure that the components operate within a certain safety margin and prevent the components from overheating for a long time under a standard close to full load.
2. Aging test
When the LED wall washer is produced, the LED wall washer needs to be subjected to an aging test for about 24 hours, and the waterproof test needs to be carried out immediately after the aging test.
3. Waterproof test
The waterproof test is generally a test item carried out immediately after the aging test. In this way, the actual IP protection level of the LED wall washer can simulate the on-site environment. This method is generally referred to as thermal measurement. After the lamps emit light and heat, the lamps will expand and contract with heat. At this time, the test can really test whether the LED wall washer can work in the harsh outdoor environment to ensure that the waterproof and dustproof ability of the lamp under the conditions of wind, rain and sunshine is no problem.
4. Failure test
Failure testing is a crucial test item in product quality certification testing. This test item is to short circuit or open some components on the line, simulate the failure that may occur during a specific application, and then evaluate the safety factor of the product under a single fault condition. In order to meet this safety standard, when designing the product, consideration should be given to adding a suitable fuse at the input end of the product to avoid fire hazards caused by overcurrent in the event of output short circuit or internal component failure.
